Reporting Copyright Violations

KovaPDF is a tool for working on files. It does not publish them, and there is no public library or search of user files. Most uploaded files are deleted automatically once processing finishes, so there is usually nothing left for us to remove.

The exception is documents that users choose to share through Request Signatures or a public signing link. These are stored on our servers so the invited people can open them. KovaPDF does not review the content of users’ files, but we can disable access when we are notified.

If your work is being published somewhere else, send your notice to the site or service that is publishing it.

• Material on our own pages, such as text or images, infringes your copyright.
• A document shared through our signing features infringes your copyright.
• You have evidence that an account is repeatedly using KovaPDF to infringe.

Email support@kovapdf.com with the subject Copyright Notice. Include all of the following (these follow section 512(c)(3) of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act):

1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the owner or someone allowed to act for them.
2. The work you say has been infringed.
3. The infringing material and where to find it: an exact URL, a signing link, or for an account, what you saw and when.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or allowed to act for the owner.

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), knowingly making a false claim can make you liable for damages. If you are not sure whether a use infringes, get advice first.

1. We reply within 5 working days and tell you whether the notice is complete.
2. We act on what is within our control: removing material from our pages, disabling access to a shared document, or suspending an account.
3. Where an account is involved, we tell the account holder and send them a copy of the notice, including your contact details, so they can respond.
4. We keep a record of the notice so that repeat infringement can be recognised.

If you believe material was removed or access was disabled by mistake, email support@kovapdf.com with the subject Counter-Notice and include:

1. Your signature.
2. The material that was removed or disabled, and where it was.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you accept the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service from the person who sent the notice.

We send valid counter-notices to the person who sent the original notice. Where the law allows, we may restore access after the legal waiting period unless they tell us they have started court action.

We close the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
