Ranges accept a mixed list: 2-5, 9, 14-18. The order you type is the order you get.

Pages are copied across untouched, so nothing is re-encoded and the extracted file is identical in quality to the original.
Splitting is not the same as deleting
Split PDF produces new files and leaves the original alone. If what you actually want is the same document with some pages gone, Delete Pages is the more direct tool.
Documents over 200 pages
Up to 200 pages in one operation. A longer document needs splitting and doing in stages.
Common questions
How do I write a page range?
Use hyphens for runs and commas for separate pages. "2-5, 9, 14-18" is valid. Pages are 1-based, so the first page is 1.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied without re-encoding, so an extracted page is byte-for-byte as good as it was.
Can I split a scanned PDF?
Yes. Splitting works at page level and does not need a text layer.
